Scaflolding Inspection.

HE WANTS A BY-LAW. (Per Prass Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 1. At the City Council meeting tonight a letter was read from the Premier painting out that there was no municipal inspection of scaffolding used in connection with building, and asking that a by-law be passed giving same municipal officer authority to make such inspection. It was decided to reply that no Act gave the council power to interfere with scaffolding erected anywhere excepting on the council's own land or above the footpaths, and for the erection of such builders have to adhere to, the city engineer's plans.
