GREYMOUTH, Nov 30 The opening day of the A. and P show was a groat success, the weather ,being beautiful and attendance u r !!? 0r . t 'An -Entries in horses numbered 109, cattle 13, sheep 22, pigs 9, dogs J3, poultry 16, industries and arts 151. In sheep Messrs Merrett and G. ajnd A. Hunt were the principal prize-winners; in cattle Messrs Nuttal and Merrett, and in pigs Meat's Merrett and Cain. The horses are not yet judged. The leaping. rfStag, driving, and wood-chop-ping contents provided a splendid afternoon's enjoyment. The show continues to-morrow, and there is a large immbsr q( visitors in town. - ■ 1 - --"-i-
