A Religious Crank.

(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHUitCH, Nov. 20. James Bunco, a gardener residing at St. Albans, attempted suicide this morning by cutting his throat and jumping into the lliver Avon, lie was pulled out by a passer-by, who secured the help of the police, and removed Bunce to the hospital. He is reported to be in a very bad state. It is believed that religious mania was the cause of tho attempt on his life.
