On and after Nor. 1 mails will Close at the Chief Post Office, New Plymouth, oi follows : For Wellington and South daily per Express at (5.15 a.m. Late fee (mail van) at 7.10 a.m. WEDNESDAY, Nov. 9. For Auckland and North per llarawa, at 6.15 a.m. THURSDAY, NOV. 10. For Wellington and South per Takapuna, at 10.30 a.m. For Auckland and North per Rotoiti, at 7 p.m. KING'S BIRTHDAY, NOVEMBER 9 POST AND TELEGRAPH HOLIDAY. Wednesday, Nov. 9, the King's Birthday, being a post and telegraph holiday, the following hours will be Observed: — A special delivery of correspondence will be made over the public counter between the hours of 7 and 8 p.m. on tke Bth. All mai's usually despatched on Wednesday will be closed on Tuesday evening, the Bth, at 8 p.m. The post office will be closed on Wednesday the 9th. The railway travelling post office .will run as usual. Private box lobby open as usual. Telegraph office open 9 a.m. to 4 jp.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight. Telephone exchange open as usual. F,D.
