HOMEBUSH STOCK. SALES. (Received Nov. 7, 10.4 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 7. At Homebush values were firm and unchanged. Crossbreds were again scarce. Wetihers made 20s to 23s 9d, ewes 18s (id to 20s 4d. Best bullocks £9 15s to £ll Bs, good £9, best cows £7 10s, good £6 15s. Beef averaged 23s per 1001b. AGENT-GENERAL'S ADVICE. WELLINGTON, Nov. 7. The stocks of lamb on hand are very light and firmly held in few hands. There lias been no alteration in the beef market since cabling last week. Butter is itt better demand. The average price of choicest Now Zealand (stored) butter to-day la 925, Danish 118s, Australian 102 si. There is a good demand for cheese and the market is firm. Canadian, 47 b. The hemp market is steady. The price of New Zealand hemp, good fair Wellington grade, on spot, today, is £BO 10s, January to March shipments £3O. The present stock on hand totals 1558 tons, against i 1170 tons at same period last year. The cocKsfoot seed market is very dull. Average price o< bright, clean, New ZiealatKl cocksfoot wod. weighing 171b ppr bushel, oji syat, to-day, is 51s per cwt. The following are current prices for kauri gum Ordinary to fair three quarter scraped, £6 2s 6d ; fair half-scnaped 92s ; fair to good half scraped 65s ; pickings, common to good Ms to 475, fa'r to good pale and amber scraped 17s 6d.
