Waitara News.

(From Our Correspondent..) The Wesleyan body opened their three days' baaaar on Thursday afternoon. The weather was bad", however, and this was no doubt the cause of the attendance being only moderate. Another unfortunate feature was the absence of Mr Jennings, M.H.H., who was to havo opened the bazaar. .He telegraphed his inability to 'be present, owing to having charge of the Waitara Harbour Board Bill, which was then before the House. The bazaar was kept open till 10 o'clock, and a fair amount of money was taken at the door and at the stalls. The, stalls made a creditable show, a most marked feature being the reasonableness in the charge for articles.

Owing to the weather the cricket match with Ingtewood did not take place. On the King's Birthday a match will probably be arranged with a New Plymouth team.
