Fort Ballance Fatality.
. » CORONERS INQUIRY. (Per Press Association.) I WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. The inquest was resumed to-day, when the evidence of the injund members of the gun detachment, taken at the hospital, was to the effect that all the regulations were complied with, and all proper iyecautiens taken in firing the gun. They were quite unable to account for the accident., The inquiry was further adjourned until Thursday next, to enable the jury to inspect a model of the gun.
The injured men are progressing favourably. The late Gunner Palmer was buried on Saturday at Karori, with full military honours. An official inquiry is to be held this week by the Defanc* Department.
