AUCKLAND, Oct. 26. jHorses.—At the Durham yards on Friday vfe'had a large muster, witi a good demand for draughts and good working horses. Heavy draughts etild from £2B to £39 ss, medium ■do. £lB 15s to £29 10s, light harness £lO 10s to £2l ss, hacks £8 10s to £2O. Cattle.—Dairy and store stock were penned in usual numbers at the Newmarket yards on Tuesday, and sold at late rates. An average yarding 0 ( beef, some of the Waikato cattle being very prime, but net heavy weights. We quote Ox to 265, cow 18s to 23s per 100 lbs'. Fat | steers sold from £6 5s to | £ll 15s, fat cows £4 10s to £8 15s. j A small of Waikato steers real-1 ised £ll 3s on the average. Dairy cows sold from £4 5s to £8 ss, empty do. £2 10s to £4 12s, beifers £4 5s to £6 10s, calves £ll3s to £2
Sheep.—The Newmarket yards were well filled, on Tuesday and sheep of .first-clinasquality improved in prices. Fat wetfiers spld from 16s 9d to £1 9s 3d. A draft of 102 Waikato wethers averaged £1 8s each ; ewes 13s lid to £l 2s 3d. Lambs, in full supply, sold from 12s 9d to £1; inferior sorts 6s -3d to 10s Aft. Pigs.—Yarded in larger numbers than for some weeks, sold well. Porkers from £l' lis to £2 15s, baooners £2 10s to £3B, weaners 8s 6d to 17s.

Hides.—Market firm, ( with keen competition" for all lines. Bert mixed 19s to 20s, good 17s 6d to 18s 6d, seconds 15s to 16s, rough fat lid to ljd. Wool.—Fine crossbred 8d to HJd, Coarse crossbred 7Jd to 7Jd, pieces 4d to 4Mj locks 3jd to 4}d. Oaes'—B-grade are firm at Is lid C.i.f. ; f.a.q. at la lOd. Chad. —Demand >has eased a little, and stocks are fairly light. tiood bright samples are worth £5 f>B to £5 10a.
Potatoes.—Firm at .t2 Gs r.i.f. Butter.—Easier. Prime separator 8d; poorer qualities GJ<l to 7id. ' Cheese.—Stocks of old almost worked out ;no new season's to hand.
