"Too Particular."
HOW THE UNION WORKMEN MAY COME TO EARTH. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 7. The Arbitration Court gave its reserved judgment to-day in the i charge brought against Walter Kel- ■ low, a baker, of having dismissed . John Doweneeh from .his employment because of Doweneeh being a unionist. It was the first case i heard in, the colony since the Ar- • bitration Act coma into force. The allegation was matdo that Doweneeh ■ had been told by Kellow that tu ■ w a s " too particular " about thv t award, and that he was dischargoti because he applied for overtime pay- : ment. i Respondent contended thnt Dow--1 (ineeh was dismissed for reasumi roiii nected with his competency. The Court found that Kellow hae t given a fair explanation of hiß action, though it involved an admission of irritation, and the case would be dismissed.
