(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. ft. In the legislative Council the Licensing Hill was received from the House and read a 'irst time, the second reading being fixed for Tuesday next. The Water Supply Hill, Maori Antiquities Hill, Local Elm-lions Bill were read a second time. In the House it was decided that on and after Monday next the ltouse meet on Monday at 7.80 p.m. Mr Sidi:lon said ho would announce early next week what bills the Goveiiiment intended to go on with. There should be no: (difficulty in bringing tho ses'.'Jion to a c'fisi; n|l:inut the end of the month. He hoped to get the Shops and Offices Uill through thi:' session. Mr Sedi'lon moved tJie second rending of the Supreme Court Judges' Salaries Hill, to increase the salaries of Supreme Court judges. This was carried liy 87 votes to 13. On the House resuming at 7,.'!0 p.m. it went into Committee of Supply for further consideration of tlw Estimates. The votes for the Department of Liilioui'i, Police Department, and Public Trust Office were agreed to without alteration. ' - 1
