The agreement between the hanks, .which has existed tor a long time past with regard t 0 exchange on London, has been dissolved, and each institution, is now making its own quotations'. Tlua majority have quoted 12s 6d per cent, discount, being two and sixpence per cent, premium for selling at sixty days. I
A Wellington telegram states that bank rates of exchange with London are considerably reduced. They now are :—Demand buying, discount at par ; selling, a premium of 12s fid thirty days sight, 7s fid each ; sixty days sight, 12s Gd and 2s Gd ; tele-: graphic selling 17s 6d. These represent a decrease of 7s 7d to 12s Gd.
