(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 3. About twenty representative citizens attended a meeting this afternoon to protest against the destruction of trees in lJiagley Park by the Domain Board. The speakers pointed out that numbers of birch trees and oaks were felled or marked for felling, and the beauty of the plantations was being ruthlessly spoilt, lhe meeting appointed a deputation, which met the chairman of the Domain Board. lie consented to delay further culling till the deputation could meet the board's executive. Certain citizens have informed the board that proceedings will be taken early for an injunction restraining tf'.K board from cutting.
