Among the passengers lor tho north last evening by the Rarawa were Sir Maurice O'Rorke and Major Shepherd.
The death is announced, at the ago of 55, of Count Herbert Bismarck, a well-known figure in German politics, and a son of the " Iron Chancellor," I'rinco Bismarck. King Bdwand condoled with with the Bisntarck family.
Very complete arrangements are being made nt Ilokitika to celebruto tho Premier's jubilee as a member of the House of Representatives, on the 2!>t.h inst. Mr and Mrs Seddon are, expected to visit the constituency, when a public presentation of plate, subscribed for throughout the electorate, will be made, and it is also intended to entertain Mr Seddon at a public dinner and Mi's Seildon at a social.
