All Unexplained Death.

(Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 19. At the inquest held to-day on Dennis McDcvitt, found unconscious in the Lyttelton Tiniest right-of-way yesterday morning, Dr. Crootoe gave evidence ol a very extensive fracture at the I',-ase of the skull, such as Could not be caused by an ordinary fall. Deceased was seen in town at H. 35 a.m., «ml found in the lifiiht-oi-way at 6 a.m. No evidence could be found as to how the injury wa* received, and the jury returned an open verdict.
