The best backed candidate for the Melbourne Cup was Wairiki, at 100 to 0, for about JE7OOO.
A telegraph office will be opened at Bulls racecourse on Wednesday and Thursday, 21st and 22nd anst., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Money orders, to be addressed "Racecourse," will be payable at Bulls.
