SENSA'nONAL '■' SCENE " AND THREATS OF WAR. (Received September. 8, 0.12 a.m.)' NEW YORK, September 7. Mr Rogers, of the Standard Oil Trust, interviewing President Roosevelt, vainly aslced the President assurances that the Steel Trust would not be prosecuted under the Sherman Act. On hearing the refusal he exclaimed ; '.' There will be war !" President Roosevelt replied : "Then there will be war. Law will be no bye-word with me." The Oil Trust has sSnce made efforts to secure a reconciliation.
