Arbitration Court.

1(Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, September 7. The Arbitration Court this afternoon dealt with a complaint by one Wilkinson against the Southland Sawmilling Company for breach of a n award which made 8s a day a tramway man's wage. The company contended that Wilkinson was not a tramway layer, but a n occasional patchcr. The trams wero already laid, and he was paid 7s 6d as an unskilled labourer. The court held that the clause included such work as that done by complainant, and inflicted a line of £1 and costs, but made no order for back pay on the ground that Wilkinson waited until he was discharged and then set the Union in motion. He hod never asked for the extra sixpence while at work.
