CHURCH UNION.
THE SITUATION. IN SCOTLAND. LONDON, September 6. The Rev. Principal Rainy states that if a compromise between the churches is impossible, there must be an appeal to Parliament. The Bishop of Worcester has expressed liis sympathy with the United Church. A recent Privy Council decision gave, ten millions' worth of property to tho small body of Free Church ministers and worshippers who declined union with the Lnited Presbyterian Church.
