The Talpo Fire.
INQUEST ON A •VICTIM. (Vtt Press Association). DUNEDIN, September 6. ' Aninojuest was held to-day touching the death of Robert Johnston, who was injured in the fire at tha Taipo explosive factory on Friday, There .was no evidence 'to show how the flnu originated. Deceased was in the incorporating room, presumably oiling the machinery. ' '■f John Fraser, who was in an ad- r joining room, said the first he knew of the fire was seeing flames rushing past tho door. He sprang into • the' passage, and came into collision with the deceased, when they both fell. They, ran to the creek, witnessthrowing off his coat,'which was on fire. He then assisted to take at what little clothes remained on Johnston, and got other clothes for him " from the changing house. Tho jury returnod a verdict ttiat' duatli was cuused by shock, resulting from burns caused by a fire the origin of which there was not sufficient, evidence to show. ' '
