A NARROW ESCAPE. * (Received August 23, 1.19 a.m.) LONDON, August 22. H.M.s. Mars, instead of rounding the bar buoy at Queenstown harbour, passed' to the south and grounded on the tail end of the Sprit Dank. The flagship H.M.s. Caesar which was following noticed the error, and Lord Beresford signalled to the Mars to reverse her engines. The Mars, whfch would have been otherwise firmly embedded on a hard, uneven bottom, was soon towed off.
