Commerce has received the following cablegram from the Agent-General, dated London, 15th inst. The mutton market is quiet but steady, at prices cabled last week. There has been no alteration in the lamb market during the past week. Shipments of American chilled Iteef are increasing. There is evidence that New Zealand beef is being freely pushed for sale. The average price to-day of hindquarters New Zealand beef is sid, l'ore-Huarters yjd. Butter.—The market is firm. The average price t o-iiay is 97s per cwt, Australian 955, Danish 110s, Irish 89s.
