<l'or Press Association.) CHUISTCHURCII, August 15. An inqueist was opened this afternoon at tho hospital, by Mr W. R. Haaelden, touching the death of Alexander Baliuntine. The evidenco showed that the deceased was taken ill after being knockod down in tho Masonic right-of-way on July 20th. A'jter medical evidence was given to the effect that death was due to inflammation of the brain, the Inquest was adjourned at tile request of the police.
