Arbitration Awards.
(Per Press Association.) C'HIUSTCJIURCH, August 14. The Clerk of Awards has received Ihi ee judgments on casts heard by the Arbitration Court at tho recent sittings here.
A case against Bailantyne and Co. lor dismissing a tailoring haud 011 account of Iris connection with the Tailors' Union was dismissed, with two guineas costs. In a charge against Heath and Co. of failing 10 distribute work evenly amongst operatives judgment was for defendants, with costs.
In tho case of Sykes versus Haniniett, a claim for compensation for injure.; received in October, I>)U2, one guinea per week was awarded up to the time of delivery oi the judgment, and thereafter twelve shillings weekly until the amount be redeemed, ended, diminished, or increased, 01 accordance with the ad. The court expressed the opinion that the claimant, who had his rig-lit hand maimod. had not made sutlicient effort to obtain work.
