There is a slight stir in, the betting market over the Epsom Handicap, the best backed camtlittato being the New Zealand, horso Grand Hapids. Such 'lincsi as 500 to 10, 500 to 15, 1000 to 30, 1000 to 10, and 1000 to 50 were pencilled without exhausting the market at the latter figure. A Christchurch Press wire states that the following scratrhings were ■ yesterday .-Comfort, for the Grand National Steeplechase; la and Killamey, for all engagements .at the Grand National meeting.
