District Court.

(Per Press Association.) THAMES, August 9. A sitting of the District Court was held to-day, after a lapse of twenty years. Mr District Judge Kettle presided, and was welcomed by representatives of the bar. Hi's Honour replied suitably. The only case of importance is one Wnihi Company v. the Grand Junction, a claim for £20,000 doimaiges to the wires and pumping, and a counter. His Honour stated the case had been taken to the Privy Council. It is understood it was proposed to have the act amended so as to give power to tho Supremo Court to hear such cases direct. ei_~ _*. i-i
