CREW OF A CUTTER BUT- -. .. CHEIIED. (Received August 10, 1.12 a.m.) NOUMEA, August 9. News from New Hebrides states states that Dick Tentecost, a wellknown recruiter, with tour of his k crew of the cutter Petrel and two native women recruits, were murdered by natives at Aurora Island. The vessel anchored close inshore. Pentecost and two women remained on ttoard and were surprised by the natives and all shot. Pentecost's body came up and was thrown into the see! Four of the crew were shot on shore, and the vessel sucked and oast adrift. She was found by the schooner Julia, and towed to Aure Island. One member of the crew—a boy—saved himscll by swimming out to se a and afterwards regaining the cutter.
