LHASSAN DELEGATES' ABJECT APPEALS. YOTJNGHUSBAND INEXORABLE. BOMBAY, August 5. The Thibetan peace delegates have abandoned their arrogant attitude, and are applying to Colonel Younghusband not to proceed to Lhassa, declaring that the Dalai Lama might die of shock if the city was entered. Colonel Younghusband insists that a treaty must be signed at Lhassa, but premises not to enter the monas- . ' teries unless attacked from them.
