BRISBANE CONFERENCE
MEETING OF MANUFACTURERS. BRISBANE, August 4. At tho Manufacturers' Confereqpe a resolution was carried urging the people to oppose all proposals lot th<> nationalisation of any producing or manufacturing industries, as it waa believed such action would prove disastrous to the credit of the Commonwealth and inimical to ths best interests of the people. The conference also favoured the adoption of the decimal coinage vystom, and endorsed tho proposal for securing preferential trade relations, and it was decided to request Mr Gbambcrlain to visit Australia during*; the early summer.
