A moti on to enter up judgment for plaintiff in the case Malcolm Mcintosh v. H. P. Cohen and Co., totalisator proprietors l , was refused by the Chief .Justice at Wel/ington y(Ktorday. Tho jury gave judgment for plamtifT for £25 daman's arising l out of •defendants suspecthigi plaintiff of having forged a totalisator ticket, but tho Chief Justice alleg'ed that there had been no legal arrest or slander qb alleged. Judgment was therefore for defendants.
