A SCOTTISH APPEAL CAfeß. (Received August 2, 10.23 p.m.}. LONDON, August 2.' The House of Lords, In reversing the judgment of tihe Scottish Court, decided that the Free Church minority, who objected to union with to* United Pivsbyterian Church, wert entitled to all the Free Chunk's funds, churches, and mnnw. The Earl of Halsbury declagtd that the particular object of an «p> dowmont waß unchangeable. No trust fund devoted to one form of faijn could be shared by another through the medium of a mere colourable union, based on an agreement, leaving points whereon they differed In «gjajr. ance. His Lordship said he knew of no case where a minority, in adhering to the original opinions of theis sect, forfeited their rights. (llecoived August 2, 11.60 p.m.) LONDON. August X . Five Lords favoured the reversal of the Scottish Courts' decision, and two upheld it.
