(From Our Correspondent.) On 25th July the Wniva br the N.Z.F.IJ. held u very successful social. Speeches were mado by tk'a president, Mr James JlurgvfM, and Mr J.J. El win. Mr Scott danced tho sailor's hornpipe and swoid dance, and also gave a finger solo. Songs were rendered by Messrs Kniight, Kay and MncAlpiiie. The rest of the evening was taken up with dancing. The Tucker Family, with the aid of Mr Patterson,' supplied the music in their well-known style. Mr 11. Valintine acted 11S ' MX'.' Mr Mills, of Rahotu, is turning his timber mill ; n to a coporutive cuucern, and shares me being taken up very readily in this district.
