In consequence of the Board of Education declining to reconsider at present a request for distempering the interior of tho school, the TJmaru Main Committee to-night resolved to resign. The school is badly constructed with regard to lighting and a recolourinig df the walls was requested as a means of improving the light. Tho committee assert that present conditions arc injurious to tho children's eyesight.
