The Slaughtering Act.
AN ALTERATION WANTED, (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 1. Mr Justice Denniston's decision in tho case o( the Ohristchurch Meat Company v. the City Council was discussed at the Council meeting this evening, and it was resolved to petition tho Government to alter the Slaughtering Act so as to compel freezing companies to slaughter at municipal abbatoirs.
