Daily Nnws.l THE HENUI CUTTING. (To the Editor.-) Sir,—in your Saturday's issue " 'Bus-driver" attempts l to arouse public feeling by prating of his poor horses and iniisting sympathy. I wonder if lie ever counts' his passengers. Poor horses', indeed ! I should' think so, with such crowds a-board. The man who is making a fortune through the roods 'being bad seems to be the one who is crying the loudest. Blow your own trumpet a little louder, '"Hus-driver," and you might eiilis-t n little more sympathy. You must be short-sighted when you could not see the teams at work on Friday. However, the contractor is good game for spoil, or fire away, and by-and-ib-ye the roads will bo good and folks will prefer to walk rather -than -be crushed to death an overcrowded ''bus.—l am, etc., CONTRACTOR.
