Mails will close at the Chief Post Offiee, Devon-street, as follows For Wellington and South, daily per, express, at 6.30 a.m. Late fee (mail van) at 7.25 a.ni. FRIDAY, JULY 15. For Australian States, etc., at 6.30 a.m., due Sydney July 20. For Wellington and South per Wainui at 10.30 a.m. Parcel mail for United Kimjilom and Continent of Europe per Tomoanafrom Wellington, at 5 p.m., duo London August 28th. For South Africa, per Sophocles from Melbourne, due Durban about August 14th. SATURDAY, July lfi. For Auckland and North per Wainui at 7 p.m. For Australian States, etc., at 7 p.m., due Sydney July 22nd. For Ceylon, India, Cliinu, Stiaits Settlements, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Suez, fur correspondence specially addressed only, at 7 p.m., due London August 29th. Mails for South Africa, per s.s. Gedlong, close at Meiljourne on August 4th. NOTE.—The public are again reminded that the postage on letters for the United States of America, is 2Jd per half ounce ; and on newspapers Id for the lirst 4oz and Jd for Oach additional ounce. F.
