TROTTING ASSOCIATION. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 11. The Now Zealand Trotting Association annual conference opened here at noon to-day. The chairman (Mr Phincas Selig), in his annual address, said the season just closing has been tho most successful in the history of the sport. During tlio year affiliated clubs held 31 meetings, making 58 days' racing. Tho added money totalled £21,.'112, the amount put through tho totalisator being £193,934. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £8 7s.

Various additions and alterations were made to the rules. Messrs Duncan, Pannell, Rathbone, and Mcllattio were appointed the executive of the conference. An allocation of totalisator permits the same as last year was recommended, Westport and Centra! Otago to hare additional permits if available. Mr G. H, MgHatUe was elected chairman.
