Barrett Road Board.
: The above board met on Saturday, I Messrs A. George and H. Gilchrist |L)eing present. Mr S.W. Shaw apologised for his absence. Accounts were passed for payment amounting l to £9 3s 7d. The resolution to strike a half-penny rate was confirmed, and Messrs Goorge and Shaw were appointed to sigm the roll. The s'nm of £SO was allocated to tho district south of Bailey Eoad, and £llO foi the district east of that road to Outfield Road, £SO to be spent on Devon line to connect with Calvert road, providing tlue owners of the |Veale estate and Mr Urennan contribute £IOO to open up Calvert road. Mr Gilchrist was authorised to eraploy a man to repair the road from the bottom of Burton's hill to the Iboundary of the district.
