TIIADE AND FINANCE. LONDON, July 1. The Bank of Enjgkind return for the week ending- Wednesday, June 29, contains the following figures :—Bullion, £38,259,000 ; reserve, £24,920,000 ; proportion of reserve to liabilities, 41.92.; note circulation, £28,869,000 ; public deposits l , £19,017,000; otiler deposits, £50,338,000. Government securities, £15,986,000 ; other securities, £36,245 - 000. Three months' bills are discounted at 2 3-32 per coat. Consols are quoted at 90£. Victorian 4 per cent securities are at 1001, the other colonial stocks remaining unchanged. Wheat—Cargoes off tho coast are slightly firmer owing to tho absence of fresih arrivals. American markets are dull, owing to hotter crop reports, and English are hardening* owing to reduced shipments and less favourable reports from Eastern Europe. Copper-Spot, £56 153; three months, £SO 13s 9d. Tin, £ll7 12s 6d. 1r0n,42/5, Lead, £ll 9s Ojd. Sugar—Steady. First marks, 11/2uerman, 9/5. Bradford wool—Merinos quieter, crossbreds slightly firmer. Common sixties 23d, supers 24d, forty sixes common 14d, supers lf>d.
