SCENES IN TIIE HIUSE OF COMMONS. (Received July 4, 0.12 a.m.) LONDON July 2. In the House of Commms the Opposition is strenuously o)posing the application of the closure on the Licensing Bill, while Mr BaJour insists that it is imperative to checkmate obstruction and stop he present nauseous amount of talk. Mxj Aiiiuith protests ofainst reducing the debate to a dunb show. Mri Balfour was greeted with cries "gag" and ribald mocliqg interruptions. Mr T. P. Whittaker dedareil that the Government was in tie hands of the publicans, and accusec Mr Balfour of purchasing support by means of decorations. Violent scenes followed, and the debate was adjourned.
