Harbour Board.
The Harbjour Board-met on Friday. Present : Messrs Connett (chairman'), Newton King, McLean, J'rice, Ward, Dingle, Hornby and Foreman. An apology was received from Mr Maxwell, who was in camp with the volunteers at llawera. —l'urilulu Road.—

Wallace and Co., Wellington, forwarded advices of sailnig of the Whunguroa on the JBth inst. with iron-bark timber for the hoard, including two long- piles and limber ordarod hy Mr Murchanl in connection with the breakwater extension,—Kecel veil. —Engineer's Report.— The engineer, .Mr Mart-hunt, forwarded printed copy of specifications lor a five-ton quarry crane, lie imd communicated with feuding colonial and English iin U s, asking for quotations. Air King said it was a peculiar position. The council collected rules there, and yet could not spend money. Air Foreman considered the matter one of great importance. The street should be kepi in repair. Mr King said a piece of land leased by the board ti.
