It is stated that Constable Simpson, of Eltham, and Constablo O'Brien, of Patea, will exchange stations. Mr S. W. Mr James Taylor, a resident of Woodville for many years, arrived in New Plymouth last evening with his family, having decided to settle in the Junction road district. Mr Taylor and family were tendered n public farewell at Wooovillt! on Wednesday evening, when presentations of u purse of sovereigns and an illuminated address wero made.

This Is his fifth season on the path, and whilst admirers were asking haw long he would last, he has beaten his own record over two and four miles. His greatest audition is to win the halfmile championship.
