Fire in Nelson.

(Per Press Association.) NELSON, June Hi. To-night the residence of Mr Charles N. Worsley, the well-known artist, .situated in Mounts-street, was totally destroyed by lire, together with the contents, including the artist's sketches of a lifetime and in many lands. There were also a number of pictures by himself, besides a valuable art collection. There was only £BOO insurance on the furniture Mr and Mrs Worsley left the house apparently safe an hour anil a half before the fire, at thd time of which a wind and rain storm was raging. It is impossible to estimate tho loss, which is most serious to the artist, while the paintings \vere worth a large sum.
