Mr Charles Clayton says '" There are plenty of {daces throughout New Zealand whero mills are placed with nothing like the timber and prospects that the bush in question possesses, and the great facilities and advantages for working it." This bush has been sought after for the last 25 years, but the difficulty in dealing with tho natives haf hitherto been insuperable. The N.Z. Herald supplement recently contained a notice of the excellent quality of tho timber on this land. It is estimated that there is ample timber to furnish a supply for 20 or 30 years.
