DYNAMITE EXPLOSION.
SIXTEEN WORKMEN KILLED. [ NEW YORK, June <>. A dynamite explosion at Independence, on the Florence-Cripple Creek railway, killed sixteen and fatally injured nine non-unionist miners, who had just stopped work and were awaiting the train to proceed home. The officials are confident that it was a premeditated outrage. Dynamite was so placed that the incoming train must explode it.-BUSINESS-LIKE PREPARATIONS. (Received June 8, 0.3(i a.m.) NEW YORK, June 7. Dynamite was plt,ced under the platform of the station at Independence, and near it was fixed a revolver connected by three hundred feet of wire _to adjacent, crihWngs. The end oT the wire was fastened to a chair leg, which was used as a ievrr.
