A Venerable Locomotive.

An Interesting relic (says the scientific American), reminiscent of the first days of the steam locomotive, has been discovered in the north of England. The Liverpool and Manchester Railway Company, the first public line constructed, it will be remembered, inaugurated a competition in the latter part of the twenties' of the p'asl century for a locomotive, in which Stephenson and other inventors participated.
