THEFT OF NOTES.
A COMMITTAL. LONDON, Juno 5. In his recent bankruptcy examination a Retford solicitor named George Marshall stated that he went to London to sottlo a purchase for tho Duke of Newcastle, and that the money (£12,000 in notes) was stolen from "his room while he was staying in the Hotel Metropole. Marshall was to-day committed for trial.
