Accidents and Deaths.
(Per Press Association.) DC NED IN, June 1. William Thomas Reed, aged (58, shot himself with a revolver at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr Gray, at St. Kilda, last night. Deceased had been in ill-health for some time. He came to Dunedin with his wife from Oamaru about three months ago. AI'CKLANI), June .1. A Norwegian named George Nilson, aged 42, second mate of the barque Anglo-Norman, met. with a fatal accident this afternoon. While, supervising the discharging of ballast from the vessel the gin carried away, and a falling block struck Nilson on the back of the head, causing a depressed fracture of the skull, from which he died at the hospital to-night.
