Professor Kentoul, of Melbourne, on the treatment of blacks in Western Australia, newspapers ami correspondents remark that ihe replies of Mr Princeps, Protector of Aborigines in Western Australia, is moro diplomatic than genuine. The letter from Professor Rentoul has been received in 1-iondon and is now in the possesion of Mr Lefroy, Agent-General tor Western . Australia, who indicates that Professor Rentoul gathered Ms information about the aborigines «f I Western Australia from Mr Malcoinjson, who started the agitation, ''
This refers to a series of charges against settlers in Western Australia, of cruelty to blacks, made some .lttle time ago Uy Mr Malcomson, « iormer resident, in Australia, and published ia a Homo newspaper.
