A PAPAL PROTEST.
AROUSES FEELING IN FRANCE. PARIS, May 18. The Pope's protest regarding the visit of M. Loubet, French President, has aroused indignation in Paris. Several newspapers demand the recall of M. F. A. Nisard, Ambassador to the Vatican. (The protest made by Pope Pius IX. was in reference to the President's visit to the King of Italy, which he considered should not be made before a visit to the Vatican.)
