H. ■ il Mills yesterday and urged tho 'Co* ' vernment to prohibit tho tion of liquor into Niue and other islands of the Cook group. Mr Mills said that in tho opinion of Colon l - ' el Gudgeon and Mr Maxwell, a wellknown missionary, it would bo impossible to prohibit the importn- \ tion of liquor altogether. Tfaa question had been referred for quiry to the Hon. J. Carroll (IfaJfc > tive Minister), Colonel Pitt (At-torney-General), and himself. Colonel Gudgeon was of the opinion' that tho best plan was to only allow liquor to be imported through the G overnmont. *
